Dar identity is bigger than beach clichés

A lot of outside talk about Dar es Salaam makes it sound like beaches, seafood, and little else. Does that easy image help, or does it miss the real city in places like Kariakoo, the daladala grind, and the everyday hustle that shapes people more?
