Mylapore or Besant Nagar for a good Chennai routine?

If you wanted a Chennai routine with decent food, morning walks, and enough life after work, would you choose Mylapore or Besant Nagar? I like both for different reasons, but locals usually have a much sharper answer once traffic and daily practicality enter the chat.
