Comic-Con International lands in San Diego each July; well over 100,000 attendees, and the event is tied to 1970. Does it still feel like something the place owns emotionally, or has it become mostly spectacle and business? How do locals see it now?

When San Diego is fully leaning into it, the whole city feels different. That part is hard to fake.

Best version is daytime energy with actual locals around. Late-night chaos is usually the weakest part.
